FeastDelights operates the website and determines how personal information collected through it is used. In this policy, FeastDelights may be referred to as “FeastDelights,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

When you contact FeastDelights through the contact form, we may collect:

When you contact us directly by email, we also receive your email address, subject line, message, attachments, and standard email-routing information.

We use this information to understand and respond to your request, investigate reported errors, answer recipe questions, process privacy or copyright enquiries, and maintain an appropriate record of the communication.

Do not send passwords, payment information, identity documents, medical records, or other sensitive information unless it is strictly necessary and we have specifically requested it through an appropriate method.

Recipe comments

When you leave a comment on a recipe or article, we may collect:

• Your name or chosen display name
• Your email address
• Your website address, if supplied
• Your IP address
• Browser and device information
• The date and time of submission
• Your subscription choices
• Information used to detect spam

Your email address is not intended to appear publicly with the comment. Your name, website link, profile image where available, and comment may be displayed publicly if the comment is approved.

Do not include private information in a public comment.

Comment and blog subscriptions

Comment forms may allow you to subscribe to follow-up comments or new FeastDelights posts.

If you select a subscription option, your email address and subscription preference may be processed through Jetpack and WordPress.com services operated by Automattic. You can stop receiving subscription emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the message.

Privacy requests

When you exercise a privacy right, we collect the information needed to identify the relevant records, confirm that the request relates to you, communicate with you, and document our response.

We will not request more identity information than is reasonably necessary for verification.

These comment cookies are optional and are created only when you select that option.

FeastDelights uses Jetpack Stats to understand general website traffic and page use.

Jetpack may process information such as the page viewed, referring page, search terms, browser, device, IP address, country, timestamp, and information connected with Jetpack or WordPress.com services.

We use these statistics to understand site performance, identify popular or useful content, and find technical or navigation problems.

Advertising technologies

FeastDelights displays advertisements through Google AdSense and related Google advertising services, including DoubleClick technology.

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to:

Spam-prevention technologies

FeastDelights uses Akismet to check comments and contact-form submissions for spam and malicious content.

Information sent for spam checking may include the submitted name, email address, website, comment or message, IP address, browser details, referrer, submission time, and information about the page or website receiving the submission.

Akismet is operated by Automattic. Its handling of visitor information is explained in Automattic’s Privacy Notice for Visitors to Users’ Sites.

Social-sharing features

Recipe pages may include sharing options for services such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WhatsApp, or other platforms.

When you use a sharing link, the destination platform may receive information about the FeastDelights page, your device, IP address, browser, and your activity on that platform. Some sharing features may contact a platform to retrieve information such as a share count even before you select the link.

Your use of a social platform is governed by that platform’s own privacy policy and account settings.

Managing Cookies and Advertising Choices

You can use your browser settings to block, delete, or restrict cookies. Most browsers also allow you to limit third-party cookies.

Blocking cookies may affect comment preferences, subscriptions, advertising, or other website functions. Browser controls may not prevent server logs or all non-cookie technologies.

FeastDelights does not currently provide a sitewide cookie-preference panel. Where your consent is legally required before a non-essential technology is used, the website’s technical configuration should obtain that consent before activating the technology.

Services That Receive Information

FeastDelights uses third parties to operate and support the website.

Website hosting and infrastructure providers

Hosting, content-delivery, security, backup, email, and technical providers may process IP addresses, server requests, error records, contact messages, and other information needed to provide their services.

These providers process information under their own contractual, security, and retention arrangements.

Automattic, Jetpack, WordPress.com, and Akismet

Automattic services support contact forms, traffic statistics, subscriptions, related content, sharing features, and spam filtering.

Depending on the feature used, Automattic may receive form information, comments, subscription details, IP addresses, device information, page activity, and technical identifiers.

Google

Google processes information when it supplies, measures, secures, or personalizes advertisements shown through Google AdSense and DoubleClick technology.

Social platforms

Social networks may receive information when sharing tools are loaded or used. FeastDelights does not control information processed within a reader’s social-media account.

Professional advisers and authorities

Information may be disclosed to lawyers, accountants, insurers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies, or other authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

FeastDelights does not exchange contact messages or private correspondence for money.

Advertising providers may use identifiers and browsing activity to deliver or measure advertising. Some regional privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as a sale, sharing, or use for targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged for an individual’s information.

Where such rights apply, you may request information or object to eligible advertising uses by contacting us. You should also use the controls provided by Google and your browser.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including the following criteria:

• Contact messages are kept while needed to answer the enquiry, manage follow-up communication, document a correction, or resolve a legal or editorial matter.
• Approved comments may remain while the comment and related page remain published.
• Rejected, deleted, or spam submissions may be retained temporarily to improve moderation, prevent repeated abuse, or meet service-provider requirements.
• Subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe or the subscription service is discontinued.
• Server and security records are retained according to operational, hosting, fraud-prevention, and security requirements.
• Privacy and legal request records may be retained when necessary to demonstrate how the request was handled.
• Information stored in backups may remain until the relevant backup is replaced through the normal backup cycle.
• Jetpack, Akismet, Google, hosting providers, and other services apply their own retention schedules to information they process.

Information may be retained longer when required by law, needed to resolve a dispute, or necessary to protect the Site and its users.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it.

International Data Transfers

FeastDelights is available internationally. Some service providers, including Automattic and Google, operate infrastructure in multiple countries.

As a result, information may be processed outside the country where you live. The laws of the receiving country may differ from your local laws.

Where required, FeastDelights and its providers may rely on contractual protections, recognized transfer mechanisms, adequacy decisions, consent, or another lawful basis for an international transfer.

• The name displayed with the comment
• The approximate date of the comment
• The email address used when submitting it
• The correction or deletion requested

Do not post a second public comment containing private verification information.

Security

FeastDelights uses administrative and technical measures intended to reduce unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration of information.

These measures may include encrypted HTTPS connections, access restrictions, software updates, spam filtering, security monitoring, and backups.

No website, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Use care when deciding what information to send through a form, comment, or email.

Children’s Privacy

FeastDelights is a general-audience recipe website and is not directed at children under 13.

We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. Where local law sets a higher age for independent consent, that higher age applies.

If you believe a child submitted personal information to FeastDelights, email info@feastdelights.com with enough information to locate the submission. We will review the request and remove eligible information.

External Links

FeastDelights may link to websites and services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Review the privacy terms of an external service before supplying personal or payment information. FeastDelights does not control how an external website handles information after you leave our Site.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, legal obligations, or data practices change.

The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through a notice on the Site where appropriate.
