Soft Cinnamon Rolls with Brown Sugar Filling
Tender yeast rolls filled with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter.
These soft cinnamon rolls use a yeasted milk dough, a buttery brown-sugar cinnamon filling and a simple rise-and-bake method. Let the dough double before rolling, then proof the cut rolls until puffy so the centres bake up tender. Stir warm milk, sugar and yeast together. Stand 5 to 10 minutes until foamy. Stir in melted butter. Add flour and salt gradually to make a soft dough. Knead 8 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 60 to 90 minutes. Roll dough to a 30 x 40 cm rectangle. Spread softened butter over it; scatter brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll from the long side and cut into 12 rolls.
