These soft Ukrainian garlic pampushky are small yeast rolls brushed with a fresh garlic and herb dressing as soon as they leave the oven. Let the dough rise until doubled, shape equal balls and proof them close together for tender sides. The dressing is mixed separately so raw garlic keeps its bright flavor. Serve the rolls warm with borscht or soup, and refrigerate leftovers because of the garlic oil topping. Mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt; add warm water and dough oil and knead 8 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise about 60 minutes until doubled. Divide into 12 balls, place close together on an oiled tray and proof 20 minutes; heat oven to 180°C (350°F).
