Sassi water is a lightly flavored infused drink made with cucumber, lemon, mint and ginger. It is refreshing when thoroughly chilled, but it is not a detox or weight-loss treatment. Slice the produce thinly, steep it in cold water and strain or serve over ice within a day for the cleanest flavor. Rinse cucumber, lemon and mint under clean running water; scrub lemon skin well. Cut cucumber and lemon into thin rounds; finely grate the ginger. Add produce, mint and ginger to a clean 2-litre pitcher and pour in cold water. Cover and refrigerate 4 to 8 hours so the flavors infuse. Stir, pour over ice if desired and strain out the produce after serving.
