Effective date: September 27, 2026
FeastDelights aims to publish recipes and cooking guidance that are accurate, understandable, and useful in a home kitchen. We review content before publication, but errors, unclear instructions, outdated links, and attribution problems can still occur.
This policy explains what readers can report, how the FeastDelights editorial team reviews those reports, and how we handle minor edits, material corrections, and general content updates.
What You Can Report
Please contact us if you find:
- An incorrect ingredient quantity
- An ingredient listed but not used in the method
- An ingredient used in the method but missing from the list
- A missing, duplicated, or incorrectly ordered instruction
- An inaccurate cooking time or temperature
- Unsafe food-handling, storage, reheating, preserving, or allergen guidance
- An incorrect metric or US measurement conversion
- An unclear pan size, oven setting, or equipment requirement
- A substitution that may not work as described
- An unsupported nutrition, health, or dietary claim
- Incorrect information about a dish’s origin or cultural context
- A traditional recipe incorrectly presented as the only authentic version
- An inaccurate author biography, byline, image credit, or source attribution
- A broken link, missing image, or inaccessible page element
- A copyright, privacy, or content-ownership concern
- Another factual or procedural error that could mislead a reader
General preferences, personal variations, and differences in taste are not always errors. Recipes can produce different results because of ingredient brands, appliances, altitude, humidity, equipment, measurements, and individual technique. We still welcome detailed cooking observations when they may reveal an unclear or unreliable instruction.
How to Report an Error
Use our Contact Us page or email info@feastdelights.com with the subject line:
Correction: Page Title
Please include:
- The title of the recipe or article
- The complete page URL
- The exact ingredient, instruction, image, or statement in question
- A clear explanation of the possible problem
- What happened when you followed the instruction, if relevant
- A reliable supporting source when reporting a factual, safety, cultural, or historical issue
- Your device and browser if the problem is technical
Do not send passwords, identity documents, medical records, or unrelated sensitive information.
Reports involving potentially unsafe temperatures, allergen information, preserving methods, fermentation, storage guidance, or seriously incorrect ingredient quantities should be identified clearly in the subject line.
How We Review Correction Reports
Correction reports are received by the FeastDelights editorial team. An editor reviews the report and determines whether the matter is factual, procedural, technical, cultural, legal, or based on personal preference.
The review may include:
- Reading the current published page
- Checking the ingredient list against the method
- Reviewing the stated quantities, conversions, timing, and temperatures
- Consulting the assigned author
- Checking available source notes and editorial records
- Reviewing documented kitchen-test notes where they exist
- Comparing the claim with authoritative or specialist sources
- Reproducing or testing the reported problem when necessary and practical
- Reviewing related pages for the same error
Food-safety concerns receive priority because an incorrect instruction may create a risk beyond an unsuccessful cooking result.
The assigned editor approves the final correction. A suggestion is not adopted automatically simply because it was submitted. We may decline a requested change when the published information is supported, the issue reflects a regional variation, or the proposed replacement is not sufficiently reliable.
Minor Corrections
Minor corrections do not materially change the recipe, guidance, or meaning of a page.
They may include:
- Spelling and punctuation fixes
- Grammar improvements
- Formatting repairs
- Correcting a broken internal link
- Improving a heading
- Clarifying a sentence without changing its meaning
- Correcting image alternative text
- Standardizing capitalization or measurement formatting
Minor changes may be made without a public correction note. They should still be preserved through the website’s revision history or editorial records.
Material Corrections
A correction is material when it changes information that may affect the reader’s actions, understanding, safety, or expected result.
Material corrections may include changes to:
- Ingredient quantities
- Preparation order
- Cooking time or temperature
- Pan size or equipment
- Food-safety or storage guidance
- Allergen information
- Nutrition or health claims
- Yield or serving information
- The stated origin of a dish
- Traditional versus adapted status
- Author identity or attribution
- Copyright ownership
- A conclusion based on an unreliable source
When a material correction is made, FeastDelights should update the page’s visible revision date and add a correction note when readers need to understand what changed.
A correction note may state:
- The date of the correction
- The information that was incorrect or unclear
- The change that was made
- Whether the correction affects safety, quantities, preparation, attribution, or the expected result
We do not silently correct a potentially dangerous quantity, temperature, storage instruction, or allergen statement without leaving an appropriate record.
Updates Versus Corrections
An update improves or expands content that was not necessarily wrong when published. Examples include adding a new substitution, improving photographs, explaining an additional technique, or updating an external link.
A correction fixes information that was inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, or unsafe.
A page may receive both an update and a correction during the same review. The visible updated date should change only when the page has received a meaningful review or substantive revision, not merely to make older content appear recent.
Recipe Results and Regional Differences
Not every different result proves that a recipe contains an error. Flour absorption, ingredient brands, produce ripeness, oven calibration, altitude, humidity, pan material, and measurement methods can affect cooking.
Traditional dishes may also have several legitimate regional or family versions. We do not remove a documented variation merely because another version is more familiar to one reader.
When feedback reveals that an instruction is too narrow or confusing, we may clarify the page even if the original wording was not strictly incorrect.
After a Correction Is Made
Depending on the issue, FeastDelights may:
- Correct the affected page
- Add or revise a visible correction note
- Update the displayed revision date
- Review related recipes for the same issue
- Contact the author or editor
- Remove material that cannot be supported
- Temporarily unpublish a page when a serious problem requires further review
We may correct a page without sending an individual reply, particularly when the report contains enough information for the editorial team to act.
