Main Ingredients:

  • 2 beets, selected and chopped
  • 1 potato, peeled and chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 cabbage, chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 3 Art. spoons of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 cups of vegetable broth

How to cook

1. Preparation of Ingredients

Start by preparing all the vegetables. Cut off the ends and skins of beets, potatoes and carrots. Cut them into small pieces. Also cut onions, tomatoes, peppers and cabbage.

2. Frying vegetables

Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan over high heat. Add onions and fry until golden. Add beets, potatoes and carrots. Fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are browned.

3. Adding the Rest of the Ingredients

Add chopped tomatoes, peppers and cabbage to the roasted vegetables. Pour tomato juice, vinegar and broth. Add sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Reduce the heat and cook the borscht for 20-25 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

4. Submission
